Life Lessons Learned

Nothing in life really surprises me anymore. Once you've had some trials come about, you learn to roll with the punches, as the saying goes. This happens for two reasons. First, life is 10% what happens, and 90% of how we react to it. This ultimately means that the decision ultimately rests with us as to how we choose to react to life's punches. We can choose to react positively or negatively, but that is the only choice we have in the matter. Second, events don't change, people do. When something happens, it simply is what it is. Take it for what it's worth and move forward.

Of course, this is easier said than done. The fact of the matter remains, at times, while we would like to move from one event to the next, we ten dto get caught up in life's hang-ups and road blocks along the way.

In my time of reflection, I have found the aforementioned to be true, along with the following: ultimately you are the one who has to live with you. You can't live for, nor can you please everybody else. It only makes you miserable in the process. If you are miserable alone, how can anyone hope to make you happy or vice-versa? Just some food for thought...
